Little story of something that happened at an anime con I went to this past weekend. I was lining up to get into the con, several Bleach cosplayers were in front of me. More and more people kept lining up smoothly, then from a distance I could see someone dressed up in a Halloween Scream mask costume. It’s cheap and classic, pretty much everyone knows who it is.

The cosplayers in front of me immediately took the piss of of them, one of the Bleach Shinigami girls saying “that’s not even anime wtf” and pulled a face then another tool went “oh gawd why”. The fuck. I don’t recall it being a rule that everyone must cosplay as an ANIME character at an ANIME con. There were Western cartoon and video game cosplayers alike while I was there, hardly the end of the world.

Cosplay doesn’t always equal anime character, it can apply to all sorts of characters.

Fucking people.
